Terms of Service
FINASENSE is an independent analytics publication created and published by IP Foundries, LLC (Arizona). It provides data, analysis, and commentary about the U.S. credit union industry. FINASENSE is published as independent research — not as a financial institution, advisory firm, or regulated professional service.
By creating an account, accessing reports, or otherwise using FINASENSE, you confirm that you understand and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What FINASENSE Publishes
Public data. Credit unions file quarterly 5300 Call Reports with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Those filings are public records. FINASENSE processes, aggregates, and presents that data.
Analysis. FINASENSE calculates ratios, aggregates, cohort breakdowns, composite indices (including the Credit Cycle Position Indicator™ and Credit Union Financial Stress Index™), and similar analytical outputs using proprietary methodology. Different analysts may reasonably produce different results using different assumptions.
Commentary. Articles, editorial narratives, signal assessments (Favorable / Watch / Pressure), and visualizations reflect FINASENSE's observations and interpretations. Readers are free to disagree or interpret the data differently.
Not Financial Advice
FINASENSE is research and analysis — not personalized guidance. Accessing or reading it does not create any client, fiduciary, advisory, or professional relationship.
Nothing on FINASENSE is a recommendation to take any specific action — including but not limited to lending decisions, investment decisions, staffing decisions, or regulatory responses. If you are making an important financial or business decision, consult a qualified professional who can consider your specific situation.
Accuracy and Responsibility
FINASENSE makes an effort to present information clearly and accurately, but does not guarantee:
- Completeness or correctness of source data (NCUA Call Report submissions are self-reported by individual credit unions)
- Absence of errors in data processing, formula evaluation, or presentation
- Agreement among analysts on methodology or interpretation
- Continuity of any specific metric, index, or analytical framework
You agree that you are responsible for verifying any information you intend to rely on.
Proprietary Content
FINASENSE's analytical frameworks, proprietary metrics (including the CCPI™ and CUFSI™), editorial content, report structures, and software are proprietary. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from FINASENSE content without written permission, except for brief quotations with attribution in the normal course of commentary or academic citation.
The underlying NCUA Call Report data is public and is not claimed as proprietary by FINASENSE.
Corrections
If you find a factual error, email corrections@finasense.com. FINASENSE reviews reported errors but does not promise specific response timelines.
Liability
FINASENSE is provided as-is and as available, with no warranties of any kind — express or implied.
In no event shall FINASENSE or its publisher be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability — whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise — arising from or in connection with FINASENSE or your use of it. This includes any losses, costs, decisions, or outcomes resulting from your use of the site, the data, the analysis, or the commentary.
If you are unhappy with FINASENSE, your only remedy is to stop using it.
Access
FINASENSE may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. You are not entitled to continued access to any specific content, feature, or data.
Updates
These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of FINASENSE means you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the remainder still applies.
